Cabbage is a vegetable which is really were delicious when you cook it. It just melts into your mouth and gives you a wonderful taste. You can able to prepare hundreds of dishes with this cabbage. This vegetable is having good nutritional value which is very good for health. Now I would like to tell about a great dish which you can prepare it. This dish is called with various names such as Cabbage Curry (or) Cabbage fry (or) Cabbage Vepudu (or) Cabbage thoran (or) Cabbage Salan.
Ingredients for preparing cabbage curry:
1 cabbage (grated finely)
10 curry leaves,
1/2 tablespoon of urad dal,
3 chilli ( chopped),
1/2 tablespoon of mustard seeds,
1/2 tablespoon of channa dal,
1 cup of grated coconut.
2 cup of water,
salt as per the taste.
Preparation method of Cabbage Vepudu:
before starting the process, you need to boil the cabbage for 2 min in the hot water by adding little amount of salt. It will help you in removing the smell from the cabbage and gives it bright look. See that you will strain the water well out of cabbage well. Keep it aside for one hour so that water will get off from the cabbage.
take the pan, put 2 to 3 tablespoon of oil. Now you can add the ingredients like mustard seeds, urad dal, Channa dal, chilli pieces and let it dry for 2 to 3 min. Now you can add the cabbage into it and let it fry for 2 min. Now you can add the grated coconut and put off the stove. You can serve this to your family which is really healthy and delicious.
