Bindhi Masala
Ingredients for Bindhi Masala
Lady’s finger – 20 Nos
Onion – 1 (big)
Tomato – 2 Nos
Ginger – small piece
Garlic – 4 Nos
Green Chilies – 4 Nos
Curd – 1 cup
Coconut – Little
Cashews – 5 Nos
Butter – As per requirement
Salt – As per requirement
Coriander leaves – Little
Preparation Method for Bindhi Masala
Cut the lady’s finder in to small pieces. Take a deep frying pan and add two table spoons of butter to it. Once it gets heated up add the cut lady’s finger and fry well. Fry it for three minutes and remove it from the flame and transfer it into a plate. Cut the onion into very small pieces. Make a paste of the tomatoes by grinding it. Also make a paste of ginger and garlic.
In the same frying pan, add five table spoons of butter. Add the finely chopped onions and green chilies to it and fry it well till it turns golden brown. Add the ginger garlic paste to it and stir well. Add the tomato paste to it and slow down the flame. After two minutes add the fried lady’s finger to the content and mix well. After two minutes add one cup of curd to the content and mix well. Add salt as per requirement.
Grind the coconut and cashews. Make it into a thick paste. Add the paste to the content in the pan and mix well. Leave it in low flame for four minutes. Remove it from the stove and serve it hot. Delicious bindhi masala is ready to eat.
Lady’s finger is supposed to be a very good vegetable, but most of us avoid it due to its gel like feel. But when lady’s finger is prepared in this method, it would be very tasty. This dish would taste great with chapattis, parathas and even rice.
